Arteta has now delivered disappointing news, confirming that the defender will be sidelined for “a few more weeks.” The update on Odegaard was more encouraging, as Arteta stated: “I believe it will be a matter of weeks, but I can’t specify how many exactly. “We might have a surprise, but I think it’s unlikely he’ll return before the international break.” Earlier reports indicated the midfielder could be sidelined until November, so the possibility of him returning shortly after the international break suggests a potentially quicker recovery than initially anticipated. This would be a significant advantage for Arsenal, as they are set to face Liverpool at the end of October, followed by away matches against Newcastle United, Inter Milan, and Chelsea to start November. If the team can manage to hold on until then, having Odegaard back for that stretch would be a considerable boost.
