Rangers’ Two-Time All-Star Adolis Garcia Receives Encouraging Injury Update
Texas Rangers’ two-time All-Star outfielder Adolis Garcia has received an encouraging injury update, as confirmed by manager Bruce Bochy on Sunday.
In a 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Angels, Texas fell to a 24-24 record in the 2024 season. Garcia was absent from the game due to a forearm injury, leading fans to fear the worst given the team’s recent injury woes. Fortunately, it seems Garcia has avoided a major setback.
Adolis Garcia Injury Update According to Jeff Wilson of Rangers Today, manager Bruce Bochy reported that the imaging on Garcia’s forearm came back clean. The team is hopeful he will return to the lineup on Tuesday for their game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
So far in the 2024 season, Garcia is hitting .251/.297/.491 with 11 home runs and nine doubles. A two-time All-Star, in 2021 and 2023, Garcia earned MVP consideration in 2023 after hitting 39 home runs and driving in 107 RBIs, alongside winning a Gold Glove. While Garcia’s consistency at the plate has room for improvement in 2024, his power-hitting remains a key asset for the Rangers.
Rangers’ Struggles Ahead of Phillies Series The Rangers have hit a rough patch, losing seven of their last 10 games. However, despite their struggles, they remain second in the American League West, only 1.5 games behind the Seattle Mariners.
The upcoming series against the Philadelphia Phillies, who currently hold the best record in baseball, will be a significant challenge for Texas. However, with Adolis Garcia expected to return in time for the series, the Rangers will be ready to face the tough competition.
