Quick Biography: Phillip Lindsay, a multi-sport athlete at South High School in Denver, showcased his skills in basketball, track and field, and football. Inspired by his father’s success, Lindsay wore jersey number 22 with the goal of surpassing his father’s high school rushing record of 4,400 yards. In his senior year, Lindsay did just that, setting the stage for his future college career.

Lindsay continued his journey at the University of Colorado, where he played from 2013 to 2017. Over his career, he rushed for 3,770 yards, scored 36 touchdowns, and added 1,079 receiving yards with three more touchdowns. He also contributed as a kick returner in his early years.

His NFL dream came true in 2018 when Lindsay went undrafted but joined the Denver Broncos. In his rookie season, he played in 15 games and exceeded 1,000 rushing yards, finishing with 1,037 yards.

Where Is He Now? Phillip Lindsay’s time in the NFL came to an end after the 2022 season with the Indianapolis Colts. After his football career, he briefly played in the XFL for the Seattle Sea Dragons in 2023, but his team did not merge into the new UFL.

These days, Lindsay is finding fulfillment in a new role as a radio host on Denver Sports 104.3. He co-hosts a segment called “The Drive” with Zach Bye, where they interview current NFL players, including those from the Denver Broncos. It seems Lindsay is enjoying his post-football career and remains connected to the sport in a meaningful way.

Although his NFL career was short-lived, Lindsay’s impressive rookie season will not be forgotten, and his impact on the game, even in a limited time, deserves recognition.
