Celtic ‘working hard’ as trusted source reveals key transfer priority nearing completion

Greg Taylor’s calf injury appears to have prompted Celtic’s recruitment team to ramp up their efforts.

Brendan Rodgers had asked for quality reinforcements, and his call has been answered with the arrival of Nicolas Kuhn, who now joins the likes of Luis Palma, Marco Tilio, Yang Hyun-jun, Mikey Johnston, James Forrest, Daizen Maeda, and Liel Abada in the competition for a spot on the wing.

Taylor has been a regular starter, featuring in all 30 of Celtic’s matches this season, highlighting a clear lack of competition and cover at left-back, an area Rodgers has yet to fully address in his squad.

Late in the match against Buckie Thistle, Greg Taylor sustained a calf injury that is expected to keep him sidelined for the next few games, including upcoming away trips to Aberdeen, Hibs, and St Mirren.

Alexandro Bernabei, who has made just four substitute appearances this season and was excluded from Celtic’s Champions League squad, is expected to step in. Other potential options include Michel Frame and Liam Scales.

Hendry first gained attention for his reporting when he broke the news of Celtic’s interest in signing Alexandro Bernabei from Lanus in June 2022.
